Shane Dickson has been an integral part of Hillary Production Machining Ltd. since he joined in 1996 as an Interprovincial journeyman industrial welder and fitter. His extensive background includes training in industrial machining, Introtech technical training, and comprehensive knowledge in the maintenance safety of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Shane is well-versed in Workplace Health & Safety, certified in lift truck safety and operation, and holds certifications in First Aid, CPR/”C” AED /FAI, and WHMIS.
Over the years, Shane’s career trajectory shifted towards sales, where he now excels as the Sales Manager. After becoming a partner, he further honed his skills by completing the Sandler Sales Training Certification. In his current role, he is pivotal in maintaining and expanding the company’s client base, offering strategic solutions to enhance manufacturing processes, capacity, and production efficiency.
Shane’s approach to sales is deeply informed by his technical expertise, allowing him to provide valuable on-site evaluations and implement strategies for continuous improvement that increase capacity and reduce production loss. His efforts are crucial in developing alternative capacity solutions for time-sensitive projects, ensuring that customer demands are met promptly and effectively.

Claude Saelens has been a vital part of Hillary Production Machining Ltd. since he joined in 1993. Starting his career on the shop floor as an Interprovincial journeyman machinist, Claude quickly demonstrated his drive and ambition. Recognizing his potential, his father-in-law and then-owner, Al Sabourn, welcomed him as a business partner.
As Operations Manager, Claude is instrumental in orchestrating the daily operations at Hillary. He expertly manages the scheduling of customer work orders, oversees the purchasing of materials, and is adept at quoting competitive prices for new business. His strategic management ensures that deadlines are consistently met, material costs are minimized, and job estimates remain competitive, contributing significantly to the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our operations.
